Job summary

The Arch Medical Practice is a large practice based in Hulme, on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre and we are looking for a full time ACP to join our brilliant practice team.

The Network DES ARRS Scheme has allowed for us to employ a full time ACP who will work alongside our talented clinical team in delivering excellent healthcare to our local patient population

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients presenting with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, providing subject matter expert advice.

Job description

Job responsibilities

a.Practise in compliance with their respective code of professional conduct and within their scope of practice, being responsible and accountable for their decisions, actions and omissions at this level of practice

b.Demonstrate a critical understanding of their broadened level of responsibility and autonomy and the limits of own competence and professional scope of practice, including when working with complexity, risk, uncertainty and incomplete information

p.Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with extant legislation and to ensure SNOMED CT codes are used effectively

q.Critically appraise and synthesise the outcome of relevant research, evaluation and audit, using the results to underpin own practice and to inform that of others

r.Develop and implement robust governance systemsand contribute to practice targets (QOF, etc.), complying with local and regional guidance

  • Experience of prescribing and undertaking medication reviews
  • Qualified independent prescriber - V300
  • Registered on their appropriate professional register
  • Experience of practice within the four pillars
  • Job plan that demonstrates advanced clinical practice and has equity with peers working at this level
  • Clinical knowledge and skills as appropriate to ACP
  • Understand the importance of evidence-based practice
  • Broad knowledge of clinical governance
  • Ability to record accurate clinical notes
