Job summary

The Arch Medical Practice, based on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre in Hulme, are looking for a friendly and dedicated GP to join their fantastic Practice team.

Main duties of the job

Below are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to patients

b. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract

c. Generic prescribing adhering to local & national guidance

d. Effective management of long-term conditions

e. Processing of administration in a timely manner

f. Pro-rata duty doctor role

g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy & guidance

h. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload

i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines & the audit process

j. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement & quality initiatives

k. Attend & contribute effectively to practice meetings

l. Contribute to the development & maintenance of the practice including clinical governance & training

m. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process

n. Prepare & complete the revalidation process

o. Commit to self-learning & instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the team

p. Support the training of GP Trainees

q. Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice

r. Review & adhere to practice protocols and policies

s. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement
