Following the retirement of our practice manager, we are now looking for an accomplished and highly motivated senior manager with strategic and operational expertise to lead our team. They must be enthusiastic and have excellent financial and contract management skills, be diplomatic and driven to deliver results. By being professionally curious, the expectation is that they would keep themselves up to date with the local and national changes to devise plans for the partners and the team to deliver patient care within a tight financial envelope.

Candidates must be conscientious and have a sound knowledge of all business management, finance, planning IT and HR, along with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team. They will need to be proactive and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of establishing effective working relationships and buy-in at all levels. An understanding of current NHS initiatives will be helpful; however, primary care is changing substantially and the introduction of new ideas and methods from outside of the NHS presents are welcome.

About us

Knebworth & Marymead Medical Practice looks after 13,000+ patients across 2 sites in Knebworth and Stevenage, Hertfordshire. We employ approximately 35 staff members. Our team includes GPs, ANPs, a practice pharmacist, paramedic, SPLWs, along with an exceptional nursing team, a finalist for Nursing Team of the year in the recent National General Practice Awards. Our clinical team is further supported by our dedicated and skilled administration and reception teams.

This is a full-time role, salary £50,000 - £60,000 depending upon experience. References will be requested along with an enhanced DBS check.
