Senior Medical Receptionist Full Time Post

We have a vacancies for a full time Senior Medical Receptionist (37 hours per week) Monday - Friday

Main duties of the job

The role includes the supervision of reception duties and staff (undertaking support as required), management of staff rotas and the practice appointments system. The role also includes various administration duties.

The post holder will work at both the Balsall Common and Meriden surgeries.

We are a 3 Partner practice situated in semi rural green belt, between Solihull and Coventry. We are a well established Practice, at a purpose built Health Centre with a second site in the Meriden Village.

Post: Senior Medical Receptionist

Hours: Full Time

Responsible to: Practice Manager/Deputy Practice Manager

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Responsibilities:

To oversee the reception operational elements of the practice

To drive excellent service and standards within the practice

To facilitate support and good care to patients

Patient Services:

To ensure effective systems are in place for the smooth day to day running of the reception team

Work with staff to actively monitor capacity and access issues and ensure proactive approach to meet changing needs

Work closely with reception staff to streamline current operational policies and procedures

To develop and apply practice polices, standards and guidance, ensuring adoption of these across the practice

To liaise with the Practice manager, supporting staff with any complaints, feedback or breakdown in services

Maintain electronic appointments system

Management and assessment of patient DNAs (Do Not Attends)

Reception

Undertake reception duties

Originate and Maintain staff rotas ensuring adequate cover

Monitor attendance and punctuality of staff

Ensure the supervision and development of staff, overseeing induction and training as required

Support the Practice Manager with practice vacancies, adverts and interviews

Arrange regular staff meetings and complete minutes of the meetings

Understanding and use of all computer systems

Maintain the various computer hardware/systems/software and support all staff with any problems appertaining to these

Audits and Performance Standards

To support the production of performance and quality standards within the practice delivered through QOF, Enhanced Services and other initiatives

Manage regular audits in the management of patient care
