Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the PMS contract.

Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

About us

Facilities are important but people are crucial. We have modelled our Team according to the needs of our patients and made significant departures from NHS standard provision. We directly employ a Registered Mental Health Nurse for six sessions a week who operates according to our needs and we have a Clinical Care Co-ordinator who does so much more than sign-posting, seeking out patients with complex and holistic care needs, a key part of the health inequality strategy.

We have a dynamic Patient Participation Group with whom we work on projects as diverse as obesity with reversal of Type 2 Diabetes, social isolation, SPIN (Saxmundham Patient Information Network) and medical equipment storage and supply. GPs cannot do everything and so we empower patients to help each other.

If we have piqued your interest then please see our website for a little more colour. Why Sax? (saxmundhamhealth.nhs.uk)
