Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave at Ushaw Moor Surgery working 4 afternoons a week.

Main duties of the job

As a Medical Receptionist you will act as the first point of call for all patients and visitors contacting the Practice. In brief you will also carry out the following tasks;

Process appointment requests from patients in person or via telephone.

Allocate home visit requests to GPs.

Process patient registrations.

Ensure clinical rooms are set up and cleared before and after each surgery.

About us

The Medical Group is a large, friendly GP Practice working across five surgery sites. You will work along side Receptionists, Admin staff and a wide range of clinical staff including the nursing team, GPs, Practice Pharmacists and Paramedic as well as liaising with external teams.
