Job summary
We are looking for a newly qualified General Practitioner to join the
team at Moss Healthcare.
This role is under the Newly Qualified Salaried GP Additional Roles
Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). To be eligible for this role, you must be within
two years of certificate of completion of training at the start date of
employment and have not previously held a substantive post as a General
Practitioner.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for
the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an
excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the practices PMS
contract.
Due to clinical need we are looking for GP who has interest/ experience
and ideally a desire to develop a specialism in female health (including coils,
ring pessaries and family planning)
Main duties of the job
Key Areas of Responsibility:
As
a salaried GP, you will play a crucial role in the provision of primary
healthcare services
Undertake
surgery consultations including face-to-face, digital, online, telephone
The
delivery of highly effective medical care to our population
Work
with patients to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments
The
provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective
management of long-term conditions
Support patients to
adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply
principles of self-care. Support and manage health needs of patients presenting
for family planning or sexual health consultations
Processing of
administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription
requests and other associated administrative tasks
On a rotational basis,
undertake telephone triage and triage doctor roles
Maintain accurate
clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Work collaboratively,
accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhere to best practice
recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute
to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality
initiatives within the practice
About us
About Us:
Moss Healthcare is a large GP practice in the centre of the beautiful spa
town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We have a patient population of over 20,000
patients with our main surgery on Kings Road in Harrogate town centre. We have
one branch, 2 miles from the main site, at the Jennyfield Health Centre. We are
one of four practices within the Heart of Harrogate Primary Care Network (PCN).
We have an extensive multi-disciplinary team that includes seven GP
partners, four Salaried GPs, three ANPs, and a regular cycle of GP registrars.
The surgery is a teaching and training practice, so it supports numerous
trainee doctors and medical students throughout the year.
There is a team of practice nurses, healthcare assistants, advanced nurse
practitioners, first contact physiotherapists, mental health practitioners,
social prescribers as well as clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and
prescription clerks. There is a Business Manager who is supported by an
Operations Management Team, including both receptionists, administrators and
medical secretaries.

JOB SUMMARY
This post holder will work as one of a team
of GPs and nurses delivering general practice services to non-registered and
registered patients at the practice (Moss Healthcare Harrogate). At all times
the postholder must act in a manner consistent with the code of conduct and
appearance representing the practice and the NHS.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL DUTIES
Range of general
practice consultations: Telephone, face to face, Accurx triage, including home
visits, urgent and non-urgent appointments for registered and unregistered
patients.
Overseeing and
participating in chronic disease management.
MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
Work as part of a
team to ensure QOF targets are met.
Participate in
weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
Liaison and work
with voluntary agencies and multi-disciplinary teams.
Participate in
audit of clinical and patient services.
Participate in
further development of the service.
TEACHING AND TRAINING
Possible involvement
in teaching of medical students, student nurses, pharmacists and other health
professionals attached to the practice.
Assisting the
practice in maintaining GP training status.

mandatory training courses and any specific to your role as discussed with your
clinical lead.
To attend regular
clinical team meetings.
To follow practice
