Job summary
Here at Wellspring, we are dedicated to patient-centred care and making a positive difference in our community.
The role will include long-term condition management, childhood immunisation, cytology, smears, and travel vaccinations.
The successful candidate will also be confident, have excellent organisational skills, and be able to self-manage.
Main duties of the job
Our practice nurses run their own clinics independently, with appointment lengths of varying durations dependent on the reason for the appointment.
We use SystmOne. We have recently moved to a year-of-care birthday review system for long-term conditions.
Our healthcare assistant offers routine screening and supports the team in a range of duties.
Our long-term plan for the nursing team is for our nurses to be able to provide all-round care for our patients and to be confident in all areas of the role.
About us
We have just over 6400 patients and our list size grows steadily. We have 6 part time doctors not including our GP registrar. We also have our nursing team and a medicines management team including prescribing pharmacist (who supports the nurses in managing long term conditions).
The wider team works well together and we have regular team meetings to learn together. Our culture is to support education and development and to pull together to provide the best quality of care for our patients
