Job summary
Due to an increase in our clinics and patient numbers Hollinswood & Priorslee Surgery are looking for a
Receptionist/Administrator to join our busy, friendly and supportive team.
Applicants will need to be able to pay attention to detail, have a mature,
flexible attitude and be reliable and consistent in working patterns. They need
the skills to communicate effectively with peers and patients. The ability to
work both as part of a team and as a lone worker is essential. We are ideally looking
for candidates with General Practice experience and a working knowledge of EMIS
web but we will consider full training for the right candidate.
We do ask that you have administartive experience
The post is for approximately 25 hours per week with periodic cover for
sickness/annual leave.

Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the position is to ensure that the Reception and administration of the practice runs smoothly and provides a high level of service to patients, clinicians and other members of the practice team.
To this end we are looking for someone who has had previous experience of a clinical environment, preferably within primary care, knowledge of the EMIS system and familiarity with Docman would be an advantage but we will consider full training for the right candidate
We need someone with excellent communication skills, with a smart, polite and confident manner and the ability to work as either a part of a team or on their own initiative.
The ability to remain calm under pressure is very important for this role.
You must have good time keeping and time management skills and willing to be flexible with your working hours. We are a 3 site practice so a full driving license would be needed.

We have four GPs three ANPs, six Clinical Pharmacists, a Practice Nurse, an inhouse Physiotherapist, a Cancer Care Practitioner and a Mental Health Clinician all offering a range of clinics within our 3 sites in central Telford.
Currently we have approximately 6,800 registered patients.
