Job summary
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Clinical Coder to join our busy and friendly practice team. This is an important role supporting the smooth running of the practice by ensuring accurate clinical coding of patient information and providing essential administrative cover.

Job responsibilities
The core
responsibilities of the clinical coder are as follows. On occasion, there may
be a requirement to carry out tasks not listed below, that are within the
reasonable scope of the role.

clinically coding data on the clinical system into the patients healthcare
record

relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding
appropriately and completing any detailed action

Filing and
storing records as required

Photocopying
documentation as required

Actioning
all incoming correspondence, email and mail in a timely manner

Scanning
patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients
healthcare records

Inputting
data into patients healthcare records as necessary

incoming telephone calls, dealing with callers request or transferring as
appropriate

Carrying
out system searches as requested
