Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy, friendly, forward-thinking team for 24.5hrs per week, worked over 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday on a permanent basis. Essential skills include good communication and an excellent telephone manner, a willingness to learn with the ability to use your own initiative.
Main duties of the job
The main duty of the role is to speak with our patients, either face-to-face or over the phone and to help them with their requests.
Signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional within the practice or related service such as Pharmacy First, Minor Injuries Unit.
You will offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.

We are a purpose built medical centre in Houghton-le-Spring. Our premises have recently been updated and we provide a light, spacious and welcoming place to work. Ample free car parking is available. We are a training practice and we actively encourage staff to undertake training relevant to their role.
