Job summary
The Queensway Surgery is a large GP Practice (circa 22,000 patients) in the centre of Southend-On-Sea, Essex. It is also the Lead Practice for Southend Victoria Primary Care Network (PCN) a collaboration of 9 GP surgeries with a combined patient population of circa 63,000.
Due to retirement we have an exciting opportunity for a practice manager to join our forward-thinking GP surgery in a full time post up to 40 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Overseeing
the day-to-day operations of the practice , ensuring efficient and effective
management of staff and resources.
Managing
and developing the practice administrative staff, fostering a positive and
collaborative work environment.
Ensuring
delivery of high-quality patient centred care by monitoring patient
satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and patient safety
Liaising
with other NHS organisations ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
, maintaining records effectively and CQC compliance.
Provide
excellent leadership for the Queensway Surgery and maintain good relationship
with PCN partners working closely with the PCN Operations Manager.
Have
a good understanding of finance, human resources and other management roles and
responsibilities

- Skills / experience :
- Experience as a practice manager or a senior administrative role within health care setting
- Thorough understanding of the current regulations in the NHS , GP contract and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationship with own team, patients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in finance management, budgeting, and reporting
- Knowledge of Systmone
