Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Brierley Park Medical Group for an experienced administrator to join our admin team.

We seek a highly self-motived individual who is able to work on their own initiative as well as communicate effectively in a team. If you can thrive and enjoy working in a fast paced, busy environment, this is the role for you.

Main duties of the job

Provide high quality medical secretarial and administrative support

Processing of letters through Workflow

Processing of repeat prescriptions

Processing of insurance reports, subject access requests

Summarising new patient notes

Provide general assistance to the practice team

Liaising with external agencies

About us

We are a 5 partner GMS training practice located just off Junction 28 of the M1. Our main site is in Huthwaite and our branch site is in Skegby. We have a list of 18,500 patients. We have a large clinical team comprising of GPs, Nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing associate, health care assistants and phlebotomist all of whom are supported by the admin and clerical team.

We are a friendly team and many of the staff have worked at the practice for many years.

  • Advanced level Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a public reception environment
  • Experience of telephone switchboard operation
  • Experience of SystmOne clinical system
  • Experience of Microsoft Office software
  • Experience of dealing with the public/patients
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Car Driver

Desirable

  • Car driver would be an advantage as you will be working across both sites.

  • A good standard of general education, including English, Maths and IT
