Job summary
This post is for a Strategic Business Manager to cover the Isles of Scilly and South Kerrier Primary Care Network. The practices within the PCN are are St Marys Health Centre, Meneage Street Surgery, Mullion and Constantine Group Practice, St Keverne Health Centre and Helston Medical Centre.
Whilst the post is advertised as full-time a part-time role for the right person would be considered. We would be looking for 25-37.5 hours. The post holder will be required to work both from any/all of the PCN practices and from the PCN hub. The lead employer will be Helston Medical Centre but you will be working directly for the Primary Care Network and all PCN practices.
We work closely together to provide general practice across our PCN practices. This role will be working as Strategic Business Manager for the PCN based primarily in Helston but also across the other PCN sites. The Strategic Business manager has operational responsibility for various functions of the PCN.
Main duties of the job
The role is responsible for the delivery and monitoring of projects and services committed to, or commissioned by the PCN. They also provide an oversight of the financial management, resourcing, HR and regulatory compliance.
The PCN workforce includes a number of the ARRS roles including, clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, mental health practitioners, social prescribing link workers and physiotherapists.
You would oversee the PCN accounts, maximising income, ensuring claims are made and timely and forecasting for future budgets.
Support for the Clinical Director ensuring that meetings are organised, agendas are available and circulated, ,minutes and actions completed.
Ensuring targets are met, liaising with the GP practices and management teams to help meet targets and liaising with and supporting the Digital and Transformation Manager for data purposes.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills. Communication with key stakeholders e.g. practices, patients, commissioners.
