Job summary

About the role:
- Leading a team of two prescribing pharmacists, 3 pharmacy technicians, 1 trainee pharmacy technician / medicines management coordinator, 1 care coordinator
- Main priority is currently prescribing safety, CQC reports, auditing, with some telephone / face to face clinics for patient reviews
- Supported by a PCN Manager and Clinical Director, Prescribing Lead GP Partner, and wider clinical workforce

Main duties of the job
The Key Responsibilities for the role will be:
- Oversee MOF allocating the work streams to the team and implementing a project plan
- CQC audits - to delegate these through the team and ensure completed every month with clear rationale for why patients may remain on list
- Oversee the safe review of MHRA and CAS alerts and ensure dissemination and learning.
- Support for Dispensary Manager to review SOPs, attending dispensary meetings
- Formulary support for Prescribing Lead Partner GP
- Conduct appraisals for all staff within the pharmacy team
- Oversee the safe prescribing of high risk monitoring in line with LMSG and ensure regular audit and robust safety processes
- EPS - supporting GPs to sign EPS as needed
- Supporting with medication queries and reviews as well as managing the flow of work through the system
- Lipid management
- QOF - to support in areas of review needed to achieve QOF
- PCN DES Extended hours - to support and review the workforce delivering this model
- Green agenda - reviewing inhalers and recycling possibilities and other aspects of the green agenda for general practice as related to meds
- Scripts Workflow Support the scripts desk in any acute queries on the day and assist GPs in signing of EPS scripts
- Honorary contracts with the Market Harborough Pharmacy and to support in services i.e. Hypertension, Pharmacy 1st, NMS, contraceptive reviews
