Practice Nurse with Diabetes Experience

We have an exciting opportunity at the Market Harborough Medical Centre for a Practice Nurse with Diabetes Experience to join our large Clinical team. This is an exciting new opportunity to join a busy, highly regarded, supportive and forward-thinking GP training practice.

The purpose of this post is the delivery of high quality primary care nursing services to the practice population. You will work with practice policies, protocols and guidelines whilst using experience and clinical judgement to provide nurse interventions and care.

Main duties of the job

Applicants should ideally be a Nurse Prescriber or be prepared to undertake training.

Previous experience within a primary care setting would be an advantage, although full training will be given to a suitable applicant/s.

Working within the NMC code the post holder will deliver care that is evidence based and cost effective.

To be responsive to patients needs and contribute to improving quality standards.

Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of the patients.

Market Harborough Medical Centre is in the centre of a busy market town and is one of three practices including St Lukes and Husbands Bosworth. We have a large list size of patients with a team of partners and salaried GPs. We have an experienced nursing team, and a variety of additional roles including Physicians Associates. We have a very active and engaged PPG.
