Job summary
We currently
have a vacancy for a receptionist/administrator within our practice who will also be also be responsible for covering for sickness or annual leave in the scanning and prescribing teams.The role
will be to join a team of 10 reception/administration staff members who are
responsible for being the first point of contact for visitors and patients
to the practice, and as such play a critical role in creating a positive,
professional, friendly and discreet impression both in person and on the
telephone.
Main duties of the job
To be part of the reception team which incorporates many tasks that this role encompasses for example:-
Patient registrations, processing pathology results, booking appointments for patients both by telephone and in person, liaising with patients and hospitals, filing, providing chaperone services to patients at appointments with a clinician if requested.
- To cover holiday or sickness cover of scanning of correspondence to patient files
- To cover holiday or sickness cover of prescription requests
- To assist in the administration and completion of medical reports
- Provide administration support during baby clinic immunisations
- Any other appropriate jobs delegated by a Supervisor, Assistant Practice Manager, Practice Manager, or the Partners.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as directed by Management
About us
We are a team of 31 staff members encompassing clinical and non-clinical staff.
Our clinical team includes three GP partners, five salaried GP's, three Advanced Nurse Practitioners, three practice nurses, all of whom are supported by a team of receptionists and administrators.
