Job summary

General Practice Alliance is seeking a proactive and organised IT Project Assistant, to support all aspects of IT project activity for the organisation, under the support and supervision of the IT and Data Manager.

This is a new and varied role which is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of IT projects across the organisation and the wider Primary Care sector in Northampton.

You will be working closely with the IT and Data Manager to support and coordinate a wide variety of project related activity. The role offers a great opportunity to someone passionate about projects and technology. You will be enabled to learn and develop your own skills in a variety of different systems and software, as well as gain experience in an IT related environment.

You will need to be very flexible, proactive, and be able to communicate with a range of professionals. This post is working within a small team where being a team player and willing to help where necessary is essential.

You should have excellent IT skills and be able to use Office 365 programs to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

Primary Duties and Areas of Responsibility

· Following up project actions

· Drafting project emails

· Assisting in the collation of project and service data and creating graphical information

· Sending templates to practices

· Maintaining IT Project boards on Monday.com

· Sending IT project communications

· Gathering adhoc data for projects

· Maintaining action logs

· Requesting IT project related purchase orders

· Assisting in gathering information for IT quotes

· Enabling access to systems for IT project related activity

· Managing IT project spreadsheets

· Ensuring all IT assets are added to the database for project activity

· Working in liaison with IT and Data Manager and Communications Manager to draft information for website regarding IT projects

· Making diary appointments for IT project meetings

· Providing cross cover for the IT Assistant

· Providing administrative support to the IT and Data Manager as required

  • Educated to GCSE Level (5 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent inc. English Language and Maths)
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development

Desirable

  • Additional IT qualification

  • Full driving licence with ability to travel locally by car or ability to travel to Head Office
  • Able to work part office based and part remotely from home

Desirable

  • Able to work some evening and weekend hours

Experience

  • Evidence of working with numerical and other data
