Kingsnorth Medical Practice is looking for a friendly, motivated, responsible, conscientious and reliable person to join the admin team.
There will be opportunity for overtime.
Kingsnorth Medical Practice is located in a semi-rural location. We are a close-knit sociable team with 4 Partners, 7 Salaried GPs, 4 Nurses, 3 HCAs, Reception team, Administration team and a Social Prescriber.
Interviews will take place on Thursday 27 March 2025.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for carrying out a wide range of activities with the main focus on processing prescription requests as well as the workflow of clinical correspondence received by the Practice.

JOB SUMMARY - 16 HOURS PER WEEK
WORKING DAYS - Wednesdays and Fridays. 08:30 am - 5:00 pm.
- Tasks to be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with all staff within the Practice, ensuring communication is clear and provided to the most appropriate staff.
- Process the prescription request from patients and pharmacies, these are received in paper and electronic methods and ensure the prescription is turned around in the 3 working day expectation.
- Answer Practice phone calls and email queries relating to prescriptions from patients, pharmacies and other outside care organisations.
- Responsible for processing, highlighting and forwarding clinical documents to the relevant clinician for their review.
- Action any additional task sent back from the clinician following the review of the clinical document.
- Ensure that all non-clinical paperwork received by the Practice is processed and given to the most appropriate member of staff for action.
- Use clinical systems within the Practice policies (Emis Web and Docman 10X)
- Supporting GPA in enhanced services and additional clinics run out of Kingsnorth Medical Practice (Ultrasound, ENT, MSK etc.)
