Job summary

Following a reorganisation at Gordon Street Surgery, this new and exciting role is available. We are looking for someone to join our friendly team who will be supported by the Admin team and Operations Manager.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team as well as on their own, using their own initiative. The role is extremely varied and interesting which requires previous experience but willingness to learn. The role will involve various admin duties, as well as claims, ordering, etc.

About us

We are a well-established Practice based in Burton-on-Trent who deliver a wide range of services to our 10,700 patients. Our friendly team consists of 4 GP Partners, a Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Reception Manager, Assistant Reception Manager, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, HCAs, a reception team and admin team.

The Practice is supported by a variety of community teams such as Midwives, Health Visitors and District Nurses.

We are a busy team and work well together. We operate from a purpose built premises with plenty of staff parking.

Job responsibilities

The main duties will be, but not limited to:

  • Submitting claims for Enhanced Services, PPA, minor surgery, LARCs, etc
  • Use CQRS to submit claims and produce reports
  • Use of PCSE for registration queries, rejections, urgent medical records, etc
  • Maintaining adequate stationary, office and clinical supplies
  • Maintenance of practice policies, procedures and protocols
  • Be involved in CQC complaints
  • Data quality EMIS searches and templates to upload onto EMIS
  • Read coding, diary dating, etc
  • Cytology queries
  • GP2GP
  • QOF
