Job summary
We are looking for an entry level HR administrator to join our growing team to support & provide admin support to the HR Manager to ensure an effective HR service for Newgate Medical Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow & learn within the business. You will need to be mature, hardworking, & reliable, able to maintain confidentiality, whilst juggling the diverse range of tasks required for this role. You need to be keen to learn whilst working towards a Level 3 HR qualification. If you are highly motivated, can work with initiative, have good IT skills, the ability to work as part of a team, or autonomously then we would love to hear from you.
As a Level 3 HR Support Apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your apprenticeship:
Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship standard.
Functional Skills in math & English if not already achieved.
You will also develop the skills, knowledge & behaviours required to work within an office environment.
Apprenticeship delivered in the workplace - 20% of your working time will be dedicated towards training & learning new skills.
You will be allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support & assessment.
Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence & professional discussions.
All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities after training will include:
Assist in the recruitment process including liaising with recruitment agencies and other external sources.
Arrange and co-ordinate interviews.
Ensure up to date job vacancy information is shared and advertised.
Assist with new starter inductions.
Liaise with IT support and Finance department for new starters, leavers, and role changes.
Assist and maintain in the administration of holiday and sickness records, updating Finance department when needed.
Liaise with other departments to ensure HR information is communicated and relevant paperwork is provided.
Provide HR administration support to the management team.
Assist in note taking at relevant HR meetings, including but not limited to return to work meetings, welfare meetings and disciplinary meetings.
File and store records as required.
Ensure copies of documentation is digitalised and filed.
Coordinate and update records on employee development opportunities/training and changes.
Coordinate and update records for staff appraisals.
Support with organising and information gathering for staff surveys.
Ensure company policies are observed, and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality.

Newgate Medical Group is a welcoming and busy GP Practice located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, providing regulated NHS services to our patients.
We are a large Practice with over 30,000 registered patients. We have an established team of 9 GP Partners and a host of varied health professionals including clinicians, receptionists, and large admin team, totalling approximately 80+ employed staff, plus agency workers.
