Job summary
The Reception Manager is responsible for the efficient management and direction of the reception team and its associated functions:
- Ensuring all reception duties are performed effectively and to the required standard
- Meeting the objectives of the practice in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and timescales
- Carrying out other duties as directed by the management team and reporting to the Practice Manager as necessary.
- The Reception Manager will be part of a team committed to providing a high quality service to our practice population.
Main duties of the job
In addition the Reception Manager will:
- Lead by example, being courteous, approachable and supporting the wider CMP team to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Practice and the services offered.
- They will be proactive, have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise their own and others workloads enabling them to meet deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork are crucial in a multidisciplinary environment, helping ensure quality and consistency
- The Reception Team Manager will liaise, communicate and develop sound professional relationships with the GPs, Nursing Team, Management Team and staff working within the Practice as well as third parties and other organisations
- A key aspect of the role will be to support the Practice Manager to oversee the team, and be the most senior point of contact for the Team Leaders. This includes resolving day to day queries, helping organise rotas and work plans of the team.
- Oversee with the planning and undertaking of the 1-2-1s for the team
- Oversee with absence reporting for the reception team
