Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic newly qualified GPs (must be within two years post-CCT) to join our growing clinical team.
To be eligible for this position, you cannot have previously held a salaried position in NHS General Practice after achieving your CCT.
Successful applicants will have full GMC registration and have achieved their CCT in 2023 or 2024. You will be working for, and based at, Hodford Road Surgery. This gives you access to a range of healthcare professionals and excellent learning and development opportunities.
The role will include treating the full range of patients seen in General Practice, including patients registered at other Practices within our Primary Care Network (PCN).
Our main aim is to provide genuinely patient-centred care. This means that our patients come first in every decision we make and everything we do. We want GPs who share this aim and can dedicate themselves to providing high quality care to their patients.
Main duties of the job
The role consists of providing both acute and routine appointments, face-to-face and telephone, to patients registered at any Practice within our Primary Care Network (PCN).
This will expose you to a wide range of patients and medical conditions. You will need to be dynamic, a team player, and have excellent clinical acumen. Whilst team work is a major component of our ethos as an organisation, it is also important that you can work independently and are confident to make clinical decisions with indirect supervision from a more senior GP.
Knowledge and experience of using EMIS Web, AccuRx, eConsult and DOCMAN 10 is highly desirable.
About us
The Hodford Road surgery is a caring GP Practice in the heart of Golders Green with more than 4,500 patients and growing.
There are excellent transport links, and we are 5 minutes walk from Golders Green and Brent Cross underground stations (Northern Line).

With our long history of operation, we have built up a sound understanding of the needs of the local population and cultures we serve. We aim to continuously learn and adapt with the latest guidelines and the changing needs of our patient population.
We put our patients at the heart of everything we do. The patient is always the most important person in the room when we make decisions about our services. This is enacted through our core values of Respect, Accountability, Transparency, and Equality.
We have a friendly team philosophy. All members of the team are respected, listened to, and valued as we understand that everyone has a vital role to play in our organisation.
All staff are encouraged to develop professionally and there are always opportunities for this within the Practice and in our wider Primary Care Network.
