Job summary

Abbey Health Primary Care Network (PCN) is looking for an experienced administrator to join our team to provide administrative and operational support to our PCN Manager and Clinical Director.

The role requires excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach; you will work as part of a small, efficient team and have the skills to work autonomously and use your own initiative. You must possess a pro-active and self-motivated working attitude with the ability to forward plan and react quickly and professionally at all times.

Main duties of the job

Provide support to the PCN clinical director and management team

Organise meetings and events related to PCN activities, including taking minutes

Manage PCN actions and deadlines to ensure these are met in a timely manner

Complete and submit monthly and quarterly claims

Organise recruitment and induction of ARRS staff

Provide project management support to implement new projects and services

With over 27,000 patients between them, the PCN is led by our Clinical Director and supported by our PCN Manager, working in partnership with our Practice Managers.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Build good working relationships with the Clinical Directors, Practice Managers and Clinical Leads at each practice and facilitate collaboration between practices and the wider system to support the delivery of care to patients

Provide administrative and organisational support for PCN projects as required by the PCN Manager and the Clinical Directors

Ensure the PCN are aware of upcoming deadlines and claims and submissions are made in a timely manner

Coordinate PCN meetings including meeting preparation and follow-up

o Setting up meetings and checking attendee availability

o Preparing documentation for meetings

o Writing and circulating meeting minutes

o Following up on actions from meetings and updating the action log prior to the next meeting

o PCN Leadership Team support - Co-ordinating diaries

Manage communications to the PCN Team

Project updates and other PCN updates as required by the PCN Manager

Notification of PCN events and meetings

Coordinate recruitment and induction activity for the PCN including advertising job vacancies, shortlisting, arranging interviews, candidate liaison etc

Assist the PCN manager with monitoring the performance of the PCN against contractual requirements

Progress PCN projects which will involve project planning, coordinating work at the two GP practices, working with clinical leads and other stakeholders and evaluation and reporting
