Job summary

SALARIED GP CONTRACT/VIEW TO JOINING PARTNERSHIP

5-6 SESSIONS PER WEEK

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP to join our friendly, progressive and efficient practice team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, team player, for 5-6 sessions per week. Flexible hours and working will be considered. Salary negotiable. We are a practice who encourage a wide skill mix across the whole clinical workforce, and expect all clinical team members to work collaboratively. To start with the post would be a salaried/employed position but the ideal candidate would be keen to progress with a view to joining our partnership, currently comprised of two GP Partners, and a Managing Partner.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic, professional and friendly GP to join our practice team to continue to deliver the high standard of clinical care we currently provide.

The post holder must be dedicated, responsible, and driven to contribute to the innovative and forward thinking practice direction, and be a key team player.

They must have an awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. safeguarding, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety etc.

Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential.

Contract:

5-6 sessions per week

Mix of routine work, some on-call

Monday to Friday, can be flexible on days

Some evening and weekend required

Flexibility around start and end times essential

Permanent position

Marysville Medical Practice is a developing and growing practice situated in the Belle Vue area of Shrewsbury providing medical care for approximately 6300 patients. We are a forward thinking team, keen to adopt and progress innovative ideas and solutions whilst providing excellent clinical care. We are based in a purpose built two storey building, with modern facilities including a minor operating suite.

We are part of Shrewsbury Primary Care Network, and Darwin Health Ltd.

The post holder is expected to support and input into the aims of the practice in areas of clinical governance, good practice, quality outcomes framework, enhanced services, practice audit, referral review and any other improvement plans as determined by the practice.

The post holder is encouraged to utilise and develop any additional skills for the improvement of services to patients.

The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of computerised clinical records at all times. Full involvement in any practice training and ongoing requirements of our status as a paperless practice is expected.

The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of timekeeping and paperwork.

  • Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained
  • On/eligible to be on a medical performers list
  • Enhanced CRB/DBS check
  • UK driving license
  • Current CPR certificate
  • UK work permit (if required)

Desirable

  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Other Post Graduate Diplomas
