Rare opportunity for part-time, job-sharing Practice Manager to work with our experienced Practice Manager particularly to take responsibility for business management aspects of the Practice.
Main duties of the job
Looking for a hard-working, efficient, well-organised Manager with good leadership skills and, sometimes, a sense of humour.
The Practice Managers role is vast and diverse, and we found a job-share works well with this post predominantly responsible for finance, contracts and IT. The other part-time Manager is currently responsible for operations, patients and staff but we are very flexible according to skills, experience and preferences

OVERVIEW
Midway Surgery
is a high-performing Training Practice with well-established, skilled and
motivated clinical and support teams. The
role of the Practice Manager is diverse and demanding but is also very
rewarding and interesting. Together with
the GP Partners, they are responsible for the planning and provision of
efficient, high-quality patient care and must ensure that the Practice complies
with its regulatory, contractual and legal requirements. Excellent leadership skills are required to
manage and support the Practice team aiming always to be a good employer. They must be able to identify new initiatives
and implement change to meet the business aims of the Practice and optimise the
use of resources. Participation with an
active Primary Care Network and Federation is needed as well as building
professional networks and representing the Practice in a professional positive
way.

successfully had two Practice Managers job-sharing for a number of years, and
this has been invaluable to manage the needs and expectations of this
role. The vacancy that has arisen
is largely responsible for finance, contracts and IT with the remaining Manager
responsible for operations, staff and patients,. However, the roles do overlap and are
flexible according to preference, skills and time and, therefore, the Job
