Job summary
This is an exciting
opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic CBT Therapist/
Psychological Therapist/Psychotherapist to join the Primary Care Gambling
Service (PCGS) 0.5wte.
£52442 to £57811 a year, pro rata for part time hours
The PCGS works with
patients suffering from gambling harm and offers Psychological intervention for
this. You will have oversight of around 50 therapist, participate in MDTs and
hold a caseload of patients.
You will need have had
accredited training as well as current registration with an appropriate body
such as HCPC, BACP, BABCP. You will be working alongside other qualified
clinicians including GPs, MH Nurses, Therapist and Psychotherapists to deliver
formulation based individual and group interventions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will
be required to:
Work with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide
holistic care and understanding for patients through team discussions and formulations.
Work with autonomous professional judgement, together with other
psychological therapists, to deliver evidence-based therapy to individual and
groups of patients accessing the PCGS.
To be the first point of contact for 40 zero-hour therapists
Highlight clinical risk and evaluation of therapeutic intervention.
Supervise and support psychological therapists/consellors
Support the delivery of psychological skills-based interventions to patients
in the PCGS.
Proactively contribute
to the achievement of positive clinical outcomes. This will include conducting
evaluations using clinical outcome measures and satisfaction surveys.

Service (PCGS) is now an established service across London with the potential
for expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop
their knowledge in the field of gambling harm. The aim of the service is to
provide a bridge between NHS primary and specialist care which allows GPs and
other trained healthcare professionals to directly refer patients for support
with problem gambling.

- Recruit therapist with different skill sets in line with the needs of the patient accessing the PCGS.
