The role will encompass working across two sites in Ash Vale and Frimley Green, working with a dynamic team of professionals. Bartlett Group Practice is a training practice and welcomes the opportunity to evolve your learning and grow within our practice team.
This role will be working with our existing nursing team, seeing a variety of
patients and delivering a wide range of care. The successful applicant will ideally
have experience of working in a primary care environment.
They will be an excellent communicator, work well under
pressure, be able to effectively manage their time, be flexible and be able to
work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
The successful applicant will ideally work full time Monday
to Friday, however part time hours will be considered but these will include a Monday
and Friday.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have experience and skills in
some or all of the following areas, however training will be provided if
required:
a. Assist in and perform tasks related to patient care as
directed by Management and GPs.
b. Delivering chronic disease care as per current protocols
and requirements in Diabetes, Respiratory, Coronary Heart Disease etc as per
QOF and current requirements.
c. Cytology / Smears.
d. Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations.
e. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate whom are being examined by another clinician.
f. Assisting GPs as requested.
g. Requesting pathology tests, for example swabs &
actioning results.
h. wound care
i. Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to
Nurse Lead or GPs as appropriate.
j. Travel immunisation knowledge

Frimley Green and Ash Vale, providing care for a population of around 29,000
patients. Situated around the Surrey Hills, we are an ever-growing and evolving

The following are the core responsibilities of the Treatment
Room Nurse. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry
out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and
staffing levels:
a. Assist in and perform tasks related to patient care as
directed by Management and GPs.
b. Cytology.
c. Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations.
d. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who
are being examined by another clinician.
e. Assisting GPs as requested.
f. Requesting pathology tests, for example swabs &
actioning results.
g. Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to
Nurse Lead or GPs as appropriate.
h. Carrying out travel consultations.
i. Assisting in wound care.
In addition to the primary responsibilities, our Nursing
Team may be requested to:
a. Maintain and clean equipment used by the Nurses and GPs.
b. Maintain GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items
as required.
c. Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and
treatment rooms.
d. Ordering of Health Promotion Literature.
e. Ensure adequate stock levels of clinical consumables are
maintained.
f. Ensure vaccinations maintain stock levels are maintained.
g. Participation in administrative systems in the Practice.
h. At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate
records.
i. A duty to advise Nurse Lead/ GP partners of potential
problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks.
j. Attend and participate in any Practice/Nurse meetings
when required.
k. Participate in local initiatives to enhance service
delivery and patient care.
l. Support and participate in shared learning within the
Practice.
m. Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post.
