Job summary

To provide administrative support within the administrative team and to all members of the practice team. The practice is moving towards becoming a paper-light environment, and the main responsibilities of the post-holder will be to ensure information from patients clinical records is loaded into the practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the practice protocol. Support duties will include data inputting, care records management, scanning, telephone queries, email management, filing and post.

The role is 20 hours per week, 5 days a week. Hours will range from 9am to 5pm on a shift pattern

Opening and dealing with the post.

Managing and maintaining the practices email inboxes.

Scanning post/documents and actioning accordingly.

Processing forms.

Digitalisation of clinical records.

Preparing invoices for forms/requests from.

Filing and retrieving paperwork.

About us

Market Surgery is a large GP Practice of 12,000 patients covering the Wath-Upon-Dearne area in the north of the Rotherham region.

We have excellent transport links to Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and Sheffield.

Our clinical system is TPP SystmOne

With approximately 50 staff we have a large team of GPs, ACPs, Pharmacists and Nurses supported by a dedicated team of receptionists and administrators. In addition to this we are a proactive member of our PCN with further clinical and administrative support functions including Social Prescribing Link Workers, Pharmacists and Technicians, Paramedics, Care Coorsinators

  • Retrieve and re-file records as requested, ensuring that strict alphabetical order is adhered to.
  • Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed in correct records.
  • Ensure records are kept neat and tidy and in good repair with all necessary. information recorded correctly on the outer cover where applicable.
