Job summary

Knockin Medical Centre is a rural practice with a diverse population of 4000 patient spanning North Shropshire with a small number in Wales.

We recently ranked second in the West Midlands in a patient satisfaction survey. We provide 15minute appointments and our small size lends itself to improved patient continuity. Our administrative team are friendly and supportive to patients and clinicians which improves the quality of care provided. Our aim is to quickly adapt systems to evolve to the ever-changing landscape of healthcare, but fundamentally retaining a personal service to patients.

We will provide clinical and pastoral support, social opportunities, mentorship and learning opportunities to help integration into our team. We are close to the A5 and there is a private car park available to staff. Salary competitive, with an excellent work / life balance.

Main duties of the job

To support the practice nursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrative services, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. Continuing professional development opportunities and regular practice meetings.

About us

Knockin presently has 2 GP Partners and 1 Salaried GP. With a steadily increasing list size, we are looking to add to our Nursing team. There is a lead nurse, one further registered nurse and one Health Care Assistant in post. As part of the Shrewsbury Primary Care Network (rural) we are also supported by a social prescriber, clinical pharmacist and a first point of contact physiotherapist as well as a visiting paramedic service and Winter Illness Centre.

We are a well-established team with a low turnover of staff. We welcome prospective applicants in for an informal chat with the clinical team, admin team, and a tour of the Practice.
