Job summary

Streets Corner Surgery is a well-established and friendly GP practice serving a patient population of approximately 5,700. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate GP to join our supportive team.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients
  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
  • Manage a range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of the surgery
  • Engage in continuous professional development and appraisal activities

    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to work 6 sessions per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of primary care services to our diverse patient population. You will work alongside a team of experienced GPs, nurses, and administrative staff in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    • The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
    • The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
    • Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
    • Effective management of long-term conditions
    • Provide appropriate preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care.
    • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, EPS, reviewing patient letters/discharges and other associated administrative tasks and respond to queries in an appropriate time frame.
    • Undertake on call/duty doctor roles
    • On a rotational basis, undertake appointments in extended contracted hours
    • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
    • Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
    • Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
    • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
    • Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas)
    • Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required

    • MRCGP
    • GMC Registration
    • National Performers List Registration
    • Eligibility to Practice in the UK independently
    • Appropriate Defense Indemnity
