Job Summary

The Quality and Training Officer is responsible for supporting the Practice in its compliance through the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures relevant to organisational delivery. You will also be responsible for ensuring that relevant policies and procedures are cascaded through the organisation, working closely with department leads and staff in providing awareness training and updates as needed and creating bespoke activities to help with staff engagement.

You will provide administrative support for clinical governance activities, working alongside the GP lead in developing a robust annual programme, ensuring key information is accessible and available to all clinical staff.

As part of compliance activities, you will take a lead in working with our infection control lead nurse in relation to cleaning standards, to ensure that premises are properly maintained.

You will work alongside the Practice Manager to promote positive staff health and wellbeing, ensuring that relevant resources and funded opportunities are cascaded through the organisation.

You will report directly to the Practice Manager in carrying out your day to day responsibilities

Main duties of the job

-Review, maintain and develop policies and procedures relevant to organisational delivery and establishment of a robust electronic filing system on TeamNet for all staff to access.

-Arrange appropriate staff training and updates and carry out regular CQC awareness checks; attending departmental meetings to support policy adherence, training and staff engagement.

-Prepare all documentation to be kept in a state of readiness

- Ensure staff compliance with training and development.

-You will be the clinical governance administrator, supporting the GP lead in the preparation of topics, speakers, note taking and dissemination of learning points and minutes.

-You will lead on the collation of clinical and non-clinical audits; participating where appropriate.

- You will work with department leads and staff to take forward practice improvement initiatives, including review of hard and soft data to help inform service changes.

-In collaboration with the Practice infection control lead nurse, ensure good standards of cleaning are consistently delivered in both clinical and non-clinical areas.

-Work alongside the Practice Manager to promote positive staff health and wellbeing, developing ideas and activities to engage staff to promote wellbeing and team working. You will develop opportunities for improved staff involvement and positive team activities.

-Prepare reports as requested for the Practice Manager and GP Partners.

Attleborough Surgeries is a large dispensing Practice, currently supporting approximately 18,500 patients. We operate from two purpose built sites in Attleborough and employ a strong team of 75 people. We are delighted to host, as part of our extended team, a number of additional staff including mental health practitioners, clinical pharmacists, physios and social prescribers.

We have a strong commitment to learning and have learning culture accreditation, teaching both undergraduate medical students, as well as GP Registrars and have recently teamed up with East Anglian Ambulance Trust in supporting student Advanced Care Practitioner (paramedic) placements.

We are an innovative practice and are committed to providing a good service to our growing practice population. We strive for excellence in our care and are currently rated 'good' by CQC.
