Job summary
As a PCN, we comprise of 5 member practices: Alma Road Medical Centre, Homeless Healthcare, Mulberry Surgery, Solent GP Surgery and St Mary’s Surgery, collectively caring for ~58,000 patients with St Mary’s being the lead employer.
Main duties of the job
The PCN Development Managers’ areas of responsibility include:
§ Being the first point of contact for Practice Managers about delivery of
Networks projects/schemes
§ Managing and delivering contractual requirements on behalf of the
Network
§ Co-ordinating training and development of PCN clinical/administrative
staff
§ Co-ordinating the delivery of PCN plans, including PCN development,
service improvement plans, and plans associated with contracted activities
§ Supporting the recruitment, induction and training of new and existing
PCN staff groups, working with the employing practice (St Mary’s).
§ Collating feedback / analysing data on behalf of the Network to report
to the practices, Board, CCG and other organisations as required.
§ Compiling the PCN accounts and presenting these to the Board as required
§ Ensuring an adequate record of meetings is taken and circulated on a
timely basis, ensuring key agreements and actions are logged and monitored for
completion.

Care Network (PCN).
As a senior and
experienced manager, the post holder will provide professional and strategic
leadership and support to the PCN team (including Clinical Directors, clinicians
within the PCN, Practice Managers of member practices and the wider city), as
well as providing advice to PCN staff.
The postholder will
be responsible for the delivery of the PCN work programme including but not
limited to:

- Demonstrable attention to detail
- Demonstrable evidence of improving service user outcomes
- Able to balance competing priorities and meet personal and service targets within a fluctuating and demanding workload
- Ability to think clearly, facilitate and challenge appropriately
- Proven ability to manage staff and delivery within a given budget
- Experience of working with diverse stakeholders
- Experience leading within GP Surgeries or Primary Care teams

- Ability to manage highly complex and difficult situations where there may be direct conflictx
- Sound IT skills (Microsoft office word, excel)
