We are currently looking for two full time members of staff to join our reception/administration team. Working hours can include Monday-Friday 07.45 - 20.00
We are a busy, expanding
practice located near the city centre of Manchester. We work across two sites (1.5 miles apart),
and have an array of patients from diverse backgrounds with differing needs. Any candidates must be willing to work across both sites.
You would be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and to offer general
administrative support to a multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited, to, front
reception desk, telephone call handling, dealing with patient queries (in
person, over the phone or online).
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate would have experience of working within a fast paced multi disciplinary team. Offering excellent communication and IT skills.
The role would provide support to our existing reception team, which includes meeting and greeting patients at the front desk and handling telephone calls to the surgery. We would expect part of the reception team to deal with queries (either face to face, on the phone or online) and handle these efficiently and appropriately and signpost where possible.
In addition, administrative tasks would need to be undertaken to a high standard including, managing our practice email, dealing with online consults and registering new patients.

To be responsible for
undertaking a wide range of reception duties and to offer general administrative

Duties can include, but are not limited, to, front reception desk,

external agencies

Support
administrative staff, providing cover during staff absences
g.
Complete
opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
h.
Ordering
and monitoring of stationery supplies

Data
entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as
required
j.
Input
data into the patients healthcare records as necessary

Direct
requests for information i.e. insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to
the administrative team
