We have a vacancy for a
Fixed Term Maternity Leave Locum
From end of June 2025
to July 2026
GP- Salaried
Across both Ilkley and
Grassington sites.
4 Sessions required.
2 sessions both Monday
and Wednesday (not negotiable)
Will include fair share
of visits, paperwork and on call sessions for the 12 months.
Salary Starting at
£11.3 k per session.
This is an excellent
opportunity to join a well-established, forward thinking training practice,
with an emphasis on high quality medicine. We have 18,500 patients across both
sites.
Main duties of the job
15-minute appointments
maximum 12 per session triaged by experienced clinical team or GP triage
sessions/ minor ailment surgeries.
6 weeks holiday + study
leave pro rata, plus an additional period at either Christmas or New Year,
support for portfolio development.
We host a range of services including
Dermatology and Musculoskeletal medicine and are a training practice with GP
registrars across both sites. We also have a diverse practice team including 2
Advanced Care Practitioners, 2 Pharmacists, and 2 First Contact
Physiotherapists.
We have a specialist interest in frailty
and are responsible for the care of 332 Care Home beds as part of the PCN
Enhanced Health in Care Homes. We also have a GP training post in frailty
and in MSK.
We provide first class patient care
which is evidenced by our excellent feedback.
We work collaboratively with
neighbouring practices, and we are closely engaged with our Primary Care
Network, ICB and colleagues in the voluntary sector and in public health /
social services.

IG Medical is situated in West Yorkshire with sites in Ilkley and Grassington. Our patient list is approximately 18,500.
Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, salaried GP's, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and our nursing team consists of Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. All supported by our hardworking Managers, reception and administrative teams.

You will be required to work from the surgery premises to provide
the usual services associated with that of a General Practitioner to patients
of the Practice, associated administration and other necessary duties as may be
reasonably directed by the Partners from time to time.
A session is five hours long and will consist of 12 x 15 minute
appointments, together with such additional time as may be required for the
proper performance of your duties including, but not limited to, paperwork and administration. Visits will be allocated
proportionally.
During your employment you must
complete the following mandatory training
Basic life support
Fire safety
Mental capacity act and deprivation of liberties
Safeguarding adults at risk; and
Safeguarding children.

- Throughout the period of your employment, you are also required to provide written proof and evidence of such registration and membership on request.
- If you are required to hold necessary professional qualifications to undertake your role you must hold the qualifications at the start of your employment and provide the Practice with evidence to the fact. You must continue to hold these qualifications throughout your employment and shall immediately notify the Practice if you cease to hold them. The Practice may terminate your employment if you cease to hold the required qualifications.
