Job summary
A temporary, flexible position of 5 hours a day Monday to Friday. This is a temporary role which could lead to a permanent position. The role involves working within an expanding administrative team. Working with the summarisers in developing the electronic patient record. Practice policies and procedures are used as a framework for developing patient records. The role is primarily data entry assisting processing clinical information in a logical and organised manner.
Main duties of the job
- Paper communications - Deal with incoming/outgoing mail when required Electronic scanning of all paper communications.
- Coding selected clinical letters, results and investigations
- Electronic Mail - Download files from NHSmail and process by scanning and assigning to clinicians within agreed timescales
- Electronic Mail Forward on electronic mail for other members of the team
- To assist GP workload by red/green flagging letters
- Train other members of the team as and when required
- Liaise with and work with the members of the summarising/coding team
- Scan other letters/communications as and when required
- Run relevant searches related to role
- Ensure practice policies related to role are reviewed, communicated and updated
- Liaise with other members of the team when organising leave to ensure that cover is available and organised
- Working as a member of the Administration team you will be expected to cover for holidays/sickness
