Job summary

A34PCN seeks Full Time (37.5 h/w) Nursing Associate based at Strawberry Hill Medical Centre, Newbury.

We are a 22,000 patient single-site GMS training practice. Our last two CQC inspections rated us Good, with Outstanding for leadership. We have a full team of GP partners, supported by Advance Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, Clinical Pharmacist, Physician Associates and a Health Care Assistant. There are dedicated finance and reception managers, and team leaders for the reception, administrative and secretarial teams. There is a dedicated management & business support officer and Practice Manager. The surgery is open Monday-Friday 8am-6.30pm and alternative Saturday mornings (working hours TBC)

Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience Band 4 TBC

Main duties of the job

Working in our Nursing Team alongside our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant you will help our team provide appropriate care to our patients.

Qualifications:

Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register

Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice

Experience:

Currently working in health care or within the last 6 months

Desirable - Primary Care Experience

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

IT skills appropriate to the role

Ability to work well in a team

Ability to work on own initiative

Ability to organise and prioritise own workload

Able to recognise own limitations in the context of the nursing associate role

Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered health or care professional

Ability to participate in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
