Job summary

Almond Road Surgery is a General Practice in St. Neots Cambridgeshire. We have a well established team of 2 GP Partners, 2 ANPs, 1 PN, 1 HCA & 1 phlebotomist with good staff retention.

Due to retirement we are looking to recruit a new GP partner. This partnership will be a minimum of 6 clinical sessions per week.

We are a training practice supporting GP registrars with excellent end of placement feedback. We work in conjunction with our PCN A1 Network, pharmacists & technicians, Social prescriber, Health & wellbeing coach, GP assistant, paramedic, & physiotherapist . Forward thinking, IT advanced with equitable systems in place allowing even distribution of work load.

We have a CQC rating of good and were last inspected in July 2022.The practice consistently receives excellent patient feedback and has a supportive and pro active PPG.

High earning GMS practice in the top 5% nationally.

Robust and effective recall/monitoring system resulting in excellent yearly QOF achievements and compliance.

Main duties of the job

The following are the core responsibilities of the GP partner. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.

Adhering to local and national guidance for generic prescribing

Processing of referrals, repeat prescription requests etc

On a rotational basis and pro rata to sessional commitment, provide duty doctor roles and extended hours etc

Accept responsibility for clinical and non-clinical lead roles within the practice, including property management and clinical governance

Show leadership qualities, ensuring an even distribution of the practice workload

Promote effective working relationships and communication within the practice.

Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings remain fully focused on the strategic aims of the practice

Prepare and attend partnership meetings contributing in a positive manner

Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times

Liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times

Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care

Drive development of enhanced services within the practice, liaise with external agencies and professional organisations

Any other relevant duties that may be required from time to time.
