Job summary

We are recruiting for an efficient administration team leader to join our friendly team. The data administration team leader provides a crucial role leading our small team to ensure efficient operations within the department and maintain accurate patient records to provide effective patient care.

Main duties of the job

Lead the data administration team, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the departments workload and contribute to the daily functioning of the team. Including summarising and read coding relevant information from patients clinical records, hospital correspondence and other sources into the practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the practice protocols.

Identifying opportunities and contributing to delivery of continuous improvement within the department.

Participate in the work of the team including all administration tasks as could be reasonably expected of a data administrator. To ensure that our electronic patient records are up to date. This includes themanagement of incoming correspondence from external health care providers regarding our patients. Summarising records and translating clinical information into appropriate read codes and disseminating letters onto GPs to inform patient care.

  • Good standard of education standard grades at Grade A-C or
  • equivalent, including maths and English.
  • Experience of leadership and team management.
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of SystmOne or similar patient records software.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and office software.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Good management and prioritisation of workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Considerate and ability to empathise
