Beech Tree Surgery are actively seeking a dynamic,
dedicated, and forward-thinking GP to join our surgery in Selby. We are a 4 Partner GP practice situated in a purpose-built
premises in Selby providing care to approximately 16,000 patients. We also
operate two part time branch surgeries in the villages of Riccall and Carlton.Offering flexibility in working hours, we have
an opportunity available for 4 to 6 sessions per week.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for overseeing a caseload and addressing
diverse health requirements within a primary care environment, utilising
advanced technology to maintain the highest standards of care for both
registered and temporary patients. Our access model is designed to offer
patients multiple avenues for reaching out to us, allowing GPs to prioritise
clinic appointments based on clinical urgency. This includes in-person
consultations, managing conditions through phone consultations, or utilising
SMS communication when appropriate.
About us
We are a 4 Partner GP practice situated in a purpose-built
premises in Selby providing care to approximately 16000 patients. We also
operate two part time branch surgeries in the villages of Riccall and
Carlton..
In January 1993 the practice moved from its old premises in Abbey
Yard in the centre of Selby to a purpose-built surgery located on Doncaster
Road, Selby next door to Brayton High School. Since 1993 we have undertaken a
number internal alterations to allow us to expand the services we can provide
to patients.
In August 2011 a large 2 storey extension to the rear of the
existing building was opened. This provided a secondary waiting room, an
additional 9 consulting rooms plus admin offices, disabled lift and w/c's.
In October 2020 we repurposed an office previously used by the
district nursing team whenoriginally built in '93
toaccommodatethe Care Co-Ordinators of theSelby Town Primary Care Network.
We also haveprivateproviders that work from our site on
Doncaster Road including an Opticians and a pharmacy as well as several care
providers that will occasionally work from a consultation room in the surgery

part of Selby Town Primary Care Network, we work with other local practices at
scale and focus on delivery, to provide a wide range of services to patients in
a co-ordinated way.

- Portfolio opportunities are available for engagement in various specialist GP services such as sexual health LARC, Minor Surgery, Research, mentorship, training of allied health professions, and participation in specialist services.
