Job summary

We are looking for a reliable and flexible team player to join our Practice Team within the Administration Department.

We will consider both part time or full time posts up to the amount of 37 hours per week between Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

Manage all referrals and letters generated by the clinical team

Liaise with Primary Care, Secondary Care, Community Services and other outside agencies

Scan and read code patient correspondence into patient records

About us

Coquet Medical Group is a rural Practice in Northumberland based across two practice sites at Amble and Hadston.

We have 5 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GP's, 2 ANP's, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 Trainee Nurse Associate, 5 HCA's and a large supportive team of Receptionists, Administration and Secretaries.

Our Practice is part of the Well Up North Primary Care Network which consists of 12 GP Practices geographically ranging from Berwick down to Morpeth.

We are dedicated to providing a quality service to all of our patients in a rural setting.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Manage all referrals and letters generated by the clinical team

Deal with any messages and queries from the Practitioners

Deal with telephone calls relating to secretarial work

Liaise with Primary Care, Secondary Care, Community Services and other outside agencies

Scan and read code patient correspondence into patient records

Ensuring knowledge of the Read Codes system

Inputting data using the Read Codes system

Monitor practice email account

Support clinical staff in all clinical procedures and maintain patient registers including safeguarding, palliative care, frailty etc

Manage and process all third party reports and requests

Maintain and process invoices and payments

Any other relevant administrative duties which may be required

Carries out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • NVQ (or equivalent)

  • NVQ in Customer Service, Health and Social Care or Business Management
