Job summary
Front Street Surgery is looking to recruit a practice nurse for 24 hours per week to join our hard working, caring and well-established nursing team. We are a friendly, supportive, forward thinking 4 partner GP practice providing care to a growing list size of 8100 patients.
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care to the practice population. You will work alongside existing experiencedPractice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants for peer support. The candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate a good understanding of all routine Practice Nurse duties
Main Duties
Chronic disease management
Health promotion
Cervical cytology
Treatment of minor injuries
Wound care
QOF work
Immunisations
Travel health advice and vaccinations
We would like someone who has an interest in women's
health and family planning.
You
will need to be a UK registered nurse, and ideally have experience of being a
practice nurse, but this is not essential as we are happy to provide training.
