Job summary
We are currently
looking for a GP Partner for between 4-5 sessions per week. We are a friendly,
city center practice (approx. 13,500 patients) with a mixed and varied patient
population.
We are a supportive
team of 6 GP partners and 4 salaried GPs. Our Practice is managed by our Head
of Business Administration & Finance, with a strong & expanding nursing
team, 3 experienced Paramedic practitioners, a Clinical Pharmacist and a
Physiotherapist (in the process of recruiting). Northgate has a broad clerical
support team, with a friendly patient advisory team and an efficient patient administration
team. We also have an Executive Assistant who supports our management team.
Main duties of the job
We have strong
relationships with the other three practices in our PCN (Oxford Central PCN),
and work collaboratively alongside each other, and are building our team of
health care professionals within the PCN.
About us
We are based in the
heart of Oxford within a brand-new, purpose-built premises with our neighboring
practice of King Edward Street Practice. In the last year we have undertaken a
merger which has expanded the practice in many positive & exciting ways.
Our central location
makes us accessible to public transport and there is a secure, indoor bike
parking for staff.
We have a strong
interest in teaching and training, and have good connections with the
University of Oxford, acting as 'College Doctor' to eight of the Oxford
Colleges. We are also a training practice for medical students, Foundation Year
doctors and GP trainees. We are an NIHR approved research practice and are
actively engaged in local and national research studies.
