Job summary
We are looking for an experienced GP Surgery administrator to join our wonderful team.
We are a training practice and will always support you to keep you up to date within your role .
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, duties can include but not limited to the processing of information ( electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner.
- data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information.
- coding using Snowmed codes into patients healthcare records as necessary including immunisations.
- Read code data onto Emis web.
- process inbound and outbound records using LG Archive.
- photocopy documntation as required.
- summarising of patients records, patient letters.
- process requests for information for information using IGPR.
- carry out system searches as requested.
- Cover Secretary on annual leave doing 2ww/ urgent referrals
- NHS Mail , to monitor emails into the practice and share to appropriate person.
- Code and process DNA letters in accordance to current protocol.
- support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.
- process incoming test results on lab links ensuring they are shared daily to all clinicians.
- manage all administrative queries as necessary.
- annual leave back up cover for second administrator when required to scan , code and file letters, process death notifications, cremation papers , setting up of Docman accounts for new starters, password resets .
- Support reception staff , providing cover when and if required to cover lunch breaks .

Our Team consists of 5 GP partners , 3 male, 2 female, 3 Practice Nurses , GP Assistant, HCA, Mental Health Practitioners , Physio's, Social prescriber, prescription clerk, Secretary and a reception team.
