Job summary

This is a unique role for someone who is happy to be to help and support the whole team with IT issues and systems training yet happy to work on their own processing data, updating websites or developing systems. You will need to be a confident communicator at all levels and happy to problem solve as no two days are the same. Your door will always be open!

We are looking for someone who is willing to commit to full time hours but happy to condense over 4 days but the day off must fit in with the business and is likely to be midweek - Tues/Wed potentially.

If you have worked in a GP practice and have an understanding of systems we use this would be a great advantage but is not essential. You do need to be able to learn as you go and be able to use, develop and create spreadsheets as well as help develop our clinical systems and phone system. You will be involved in the monthly financial claims process and we would expect you to come up with ideas of how we can improve processes and get involved in project and audit work.

You will need IT problem solving skills to act as the main point of contact to fix / install computer hardware (printers etc) and resolve software issues on site, communicating with IT support teams where a fix is not possible on site. You will be required to travel between sites as required so a car is essential and business mileage will be paid.

We are a busy, friendly training practice based in South Leeds, in modern purpose built premises with 10 GP Partners.

Main duties of the job

Troubleshoot IT problems and identify solutions. Where appropriate, report IT faults to the helpdesk and follow-up until resolved

Ensuring clinical rotas are maintained on SYS1 inline with agreed patterns paying attention to detail to ensure efficient use of rooms and locations.

Update and develop SystmOne Templates, for clinicians to ensure that recording of patient information is consistent using the same Read Codes

Completing adhoc searches, audits and recalls as required by the doctors, nurses and managers

Carry out data extraction to help maximise income. Process claims to ensure income streams from Local Enhanced Services and Directed Enhanced services are received, including stock reconciliation (eg. PPA Claims)

Monitor the numbers of patient missed appointments and produce monthly management information.

Identifying appropriate cohorts of patients for recalls and vaccination programmes

Support the clinical staff in maintaining disease registers to meet the requirements of the Quality Outcome Frameworks

Help maintain the practice Website, leaflets and any other platforms they have a presence.

Set up and maintain new users according to Practice protocols, ensuring they have access to required applications: AccuRx, Smartcards, E-mail, Windows, Lexacom, ICE etc to support their role

Provide SystmOne induction training when required to team members appropriate to their role and help cascade training on system updates generally.

About us

The practice is committed to the development of all staff and both you and the role will be developed to reach maximum potential.
