Job summary
We are recruiting for a Meet and Greet Coordinator working 30 hours. The role serves as the first point of contact for patients visiting the GP surgery. This role involves welcoming patients, managing initial inquiries, ensuring smooth patient flow within the practice, and supporting administrative functions. The Meet and Greet Coordinator plays a crucial role in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring efficient operation of the practice.
The hours will be worked part or full time, Monday - Friday 09:15 - 13:00, 13:45 - 17:00.
The candidate should have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and customer service.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development as needed.
Main duties of the job
- Patient Reception -Warmly welcome patients and visitors upon arrival,Verify patient appointments and direct them to the appropriate waiting area,Assist with patient check-in and ensure all necessary information is collected and entered into the system,Assist patients to log parking details and extend parking time when required,
- Customer Service -Provide information and assistance to patients regarding practice services, appointment scheduling, and general enquiries,Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff member when necessary
- Patient Flow Co-ordinator -Monitor the waiting area and coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and minimise wait times,Inform patients of any delays or changes in their appointment times
- Facility Management -Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained,Monitor supplies and inform the Reception Supervisors of any needs for replenishment
- Team Collaboration -Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient practice operations.
- Physical requirements -Ability to stand for shift,Capacity to assist patients with mobility issues if necessary, Comfortable to climb stairs and use lift to assist patient, Able to push wheelchair to assist patients when needed.
- General -To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures,Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Supervisor, Senior Management Team or Partners.
