Job summary

We currently have vacancies in our team for 2 Medical Administrators (37.5 hours over 5 days and 27 hours over 4 days- working pattern attached as an attachment). We are looking to hear from any enthusiastic individuals with prior administration experience, or those with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

You will be a key part of a large team and will have the support of your colleagues, the Admin Team Leader, as well as the Operations Manager.

Main duties of the job

Ensure that all contacts from patients and third parties, over the telephone and electronically, are greeted in a friendly helpful manner and handled courteously, efficiently and confidentially at all times.

Ensure that all requests and enquiries are handled courteously, efficiently and in line with practice policies and procedures.

Ensure that the filing and recording of patient information both electronic and manual is promptly handled with care and in line with practice policies and procedures.

Help to ensure that the surgery premises are kept safe and tidy at all times.

Support the clinicians in their role.

Alert a supervisor or manager to any problems or concerns from staff or patients when necessary.

Hereford Medical Group is a large General Practice Surgery providing care for patients living in and around Hereford City. We work across 5 sites with our primary site being a newly purpose built surgery located in Hereford.

  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL)
