Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time administrator, for 20 hours/week, to join the team at New Barn Close Surgery.

We are looking to appoint someone who can deliver comprehensive administrative support to our GP Practice and service users.

The post requires a 'can do' attitude with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to build good relationships and excellent team working skills, maintaining the practice values at all times. One of the key elements of the role is to communicate effectively with patients in a confidential, sensitive manner.

Main duties of the job

To provide efficient and effective administration support.

To undertake the administration tasks and patient recalls.

To ensure high standards are maintained at all times and that work is produced effectively and efficiently in accordance with the Practices' policies and procedures.

About us

We are a highly regarded GP Training Practice supporting GP's, Nurses, Pharmacists. Based at a new purpose built surgery in Broadway, Worcestershire, supporting over 8,000 patients.

This is a part time role of approximately 20 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Salary range is £20,141 - £22,071 pro rata.

You will be an essential part of our dynamic workforce, working in a great team of clinical and non-clinical colleagues. We need you to be friendly and used to using your initiative as well as working closely with colleagues.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • To undertake a comprehensive range of administrative tasks.
  • To ensure that all relevant referral information is recorded on EMIS patient clinical system.
  • To collate all relevant available information to enable the effective management of patient recalls.
  • To carry out general clerical duties including information gathering, scanning of documents.
  • To carry out weekly/monthly general maintenance procedures in line with health and safety policies.
  • To order and maintain sufficient levels of stationery and supplies for the Team.
  • To deal with telephone calls in a sensitive way.
  • To attend practice meetings as necessary.
  • To continuously review administrative processes within the team and contribute to the ongoing development of the service with line manager.
  • To work with and support the Team in their day to day work.
  • Organise and maintain an efficient and effective recall system.
  • To undertake such other tasks that may be required from time to time by the professional staff within the Teams.
