Part
time Practice Administrator -(15-20
hours per week)
Stoke Gifford and Conygre Medical Centres are
looking for a part-time administrator to join a friendly Administration Team in
a busy surgery. The post-holder will provide
administrative services focusing on scanning, coding and work-flowing of
incoming clinical documents.
Main duties of the job
Based
at Stoke Gifford Medical Centre the post holder will be responsible for the
processing the incoming information.
This involves: monitoring a number of inboxes; responding to queries;
work-flowing incoming documents to the wider team; saving documents to the
patient record; adding clinical codes, and filing some clinical results. The postholder may also be required to
support the reception team or other Administration Team colleagues when necessary.
The postholder will work within set routines, policies and procedures to
provide a comprehensive high-quality service to the team, and able to deal
efficiently and courteously with enquiries from patients and relatives.

Main Tasks of Job:
- Monitoring a number of inboxes and processing incoming
information in line with practice polices
- Scanning documents to add to the clinical record
- Adding READ code and summarising in accordance with
protocols
- Using office and clinical systems to work-flow documents to
the relevant teams
- Applying protocols to file some normal medical results.
- Using email to respond to incoming queries.
- Maintaining filing system.
- Photocopying, faxing and processing mail as is required.
- Contributing to the team effort.
- Liaising with staff, Managers and external customers/clients
to ensure the above tasks are completed effectively.
- Supporting insurance processes in accordance with protocol
- Supporting an effective reception and telephone service as
required
- Completing ad-hoc duties from clinical and management team.
- To provide administrative and clerical support and other
support which may be requested from time to time by the Manager and other
senior personnel?
- Report any untoward incidents such as complaints, clinical
emergencies, and injury as per practice policies/procedures.
- Tasks in keeping with the general administration role and as
may be determined by the Practice Manager.
