About us

We are looking for an additional enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team working between 28 37.5 hours per week. The practice is a friendly, semi-rural GMS practice located next to the M6/M6 toll. We have a branch surgery and you will be required to work across both sites. Our list size is 7,300 patients and is currently managed by 2 GPs, 1 ANP, 1 Practice Nurses and an excellent administrative support team long with loads of ARRS staff. We are high QOF achievers and we are actively engaged in our local ICB.

28 hours 37.5 hours per week comprising a mix of face to face and telephone consultations payrate will depend on experience between £27 - £32

Main duties of the job

Your role would be to work collaboratively with the General Practice team, to meet the needs of patients supporting the delivery of policies and procedures and providing leadership as required. You will be required to clinically examine and assess patient needs and demonstrate safe decision making and expert care. The candidate will need to show the ability to work independently, as well as working with in a diverse team to provide high quality care to the patient population registered at the surgery.

Main duties include the overseeing of minor illness clinics, assessing acute illness presentations, prescribing, developing treatment care plans, ongoing Long Term Condition Management, referrals and End of Life Care. Good IT skills also required within this role to ensure accuracy of data on to patient record in EMIS. You will be required to administer seasonal and COVID vaccinations in collaboration with the PCN. You will be working alongside a team of 2 GP partners, as well as our Practice Nurse, Health care assistant and admin team.

The Surgery will provide a training and development plan to the successful candidate to ensure progression within the field.

  • be educated to Masters level
  • be an independent prescriber
  • meet NMC revalidation requirements
  • demonstrate autonomous evidence
  • Seeing children under 2 years oldSafeguarding training to level 3
